This engaging training session explores how Pearson’s WorkSkills and Personal Growth & Wellbeing qualifications equip learners of all ages with the essential skills, confidence and resilience needed to succeed in modern life and work. Set against the current education, skills and employability landscape in England, the session demonstrates how these flexible and inclusive programmes support progression, employability and lifelong learning.

Through practical examples and learner‑centred approaches, participants will examine how developing transferable skills—such as communication, teamwork, self‑management and emotional wellbeing—can help remove barriers, build confidence and create meaningful pathways to employment, further education and independent living.

Session Learning Outcomes

By the end of this session, participants will be able to:

  • Understand the purpose and value of WorkSkills and Personal Growth & Wellbeing within Pearson’s offer
  • Explain how these qualifications respond to current skills gaps, employability needs and wellbeing priorities in England
  • Identify the key skills learners develop and how these support success in work, education and everyday life
  • Recognise how the qualifications can engage and support learners of all ages, including those facing disadvantage or transition
  • Confidently articulate the benefits of these programmes to learners, employers and stakeholders
  • Ideal for: educators, trainers, employability practitioners and learning providers
  • Key focus: real‑world skills, holistic development and progression for lifelong success
