The Future of D&T: VR, AI, 3D Printing and Beyond

Join us for a practical, full-day D&T showcase in our new Pearson Lab at our London Strand office.

You will see demonstrations, try equipment for yourself, and leave with ideas you can apply in your teaching.

What you’ll experience

• Live demos from our Innovation team, showcasing emerging technology tools in action.

• Ed Charlwood from CAD Class will demonstrate how CAD and 3D printing can support students’ iterative design process and reduce consumable costs.

• Priten Chauhan from Mesh Training will introduce using VR headsets to help students elevate their design work and create in immersive 3D environments, with time to explore headsets hands-on.

• John Pinkney from Raising Robots will be showcasing the new LEGO® Education Computer Science & AI kits, and how they can support D&T teaching and learning.

You will get hands-on with the kits and experience the learning for yourselves.

Through practical activities, you will combine creativity, problem-solving, engineering, coding, and AI to design, build, test, and improve real-world solutions, while building student confidence, resilience, and iterative design thinking.

Please note due to the nature of the technology being showcased, all attendees will need to sign a non-disclosure agreement (NDA) before attending.

Refreshments will be available during the day.

Lunch is not provided so please bring your own or purchase lunch nearby / in the building.

This event counts as 5.5 hours of CPD. You will receive a certificate via email after the event.
